We have 3 different kinds of Lavender here on the farm. We started with French and English lavenders in the Lavender Garden. This year, I found a new kind that I hadn't seen before and added Fern Lavender to the mix. It is here for the bees, as well as to help keep down the flies by the horse's
paddock. There is more planted around the farm, I don't think that it is possible to have too much.
Lavender Sachets will be for sale. $5.00
At Seekseekqua Farms, it was very exciting this week to see the first Saffron Crocus bloom. One day it was a bud, and the next blooming with it's splendid orange saffron stigmas. The first three stands have been harvested and will be used to make something delicious very soon. It would be nice if the flowers bloom a few a day and not all at once, harvest will be much easier.
As more is processed, Saffron will be packaged and sold.
Our team of bees here on the farm did an outstanding job this year, producing more delicious honey than we expected. All the beautiful honey has been processed and is in jars ready for you to buy. It is a consensus, not just here on the farm, but all who have tasted it - this honey is fantastic.
Adorable jars, so cute they are the perfect little gift -
5oz jars are $7.00
